Well, I’ve made it to the trip finally. After months and months of anticipation, the NYC trip is here and I am both very excited and nervous. Back when I applied, I thought the trip was so far ahead in the year and now it’s only a couple weeks away. Time flew by me and now it’s time for the trip. I am most excited for seeing the news rooms of major news networks and also getting to see the play “Network” later in the week. While I might not be a PR major, I am still interested to see how a PR agency works and what they look like on the inside. I applied for the trip to see what NYC media was like since I had a small idea how it worked, but not a clue about how many specific places were in it and all of the their major contributions to the media world. I think this trip will be greatly beneficial to both myself and also my media career in the future as I can make connections right away to help myself get internships starting sophomore year. Overall, this will be a trip that will open up a lot of opportunities for me going forward.
